Did you know...
- 4-6,000 abortions in the state of Iowa…THIS year, and every year since 1973.
- There are approximately 4,200 churches in Iowa.
- Nearly 7 out of 10 (65%) women who have abortions self-identify as Christians.
- 4 out of those 7 are currently regularly attending a church at the time of their abortion.
- FYI…at $500 per abortion, THAT is a lot of Christians’ money going to the abortion industry.
We believe...
- We (the Church/Believers) are commanded to love our neighbors (Mark 12:31), both born and pre-born, and care for widows and orphans (James 1:27); a vast majority today are figurative and not traditional widows or orphans.
- Pro-life ministries (i.e. pregnancy centers, maternity homes, etc.) are para-church organizations…it’s NOT the other way around.
- They are doing our work and/or filling our role, we should be supporting their every need…time, treasure, and talent. Their focus should be ministry...NOT banquets and walks!
How we fix it...
- Pray, Equip, Learn, Plan, Serve
- We (the Church) step back up; we organize, we serve, we be the hands and feet of the body. (1 Corinthians 12:12, 27)
- Personhood affiliates/committees.
- Outreach to the ministries regularly (not waiting for them to come to us).
- Equipping and/or training.
- Service!
