So Sanctity of Life Month is Over…now what?

Will we go back to the status quo and wait to talk about the American Holocaust again until January 2017 in our churches and daily lives? I pray that we don’t…our fight continues and will only be stopped when the body of Christ stands up and defends those that are weak and vulnerable. As we flip the calendar to a new month, some of you probably know that February has been designated as Black History Month. Now what does that have to do with anything you may ask…well, minority communities are the number one target of the abortion industry, black babies in particular. Only 13% of the population is black, but nearly 40% of ALL abortions in this country are performed on black Americans! That is about 2,000 per day…more than heart disease, cancer, strokes, accidents, diabetes, homicide, and respiratory illness — COMBINED. (From Matt Walsh, Black Lives Matter, So It’s Time to Outlaw Abortion, Nov. 26, 2014) To make matters worse, our college campuses are no longer a place for the next generation to explore different ideas. They have become cesspools of single-minded, group think. Case in point, when a Students for Life group at Purdue University decided to take the advice of a well known pro-life activist, who happens to be black too, about making a difference and speaking out on campus, their signs were vandalized, presumably by fellow students.  And they were called racists and other vile words that I won’t repeat here…BY A PROFESSOR! Who is white by the way! For more details and how you can lend support to this courageous group of young people, read more here: http://studentsforlife.org/purdue-professor-calls-pro-life-students-vile-racist-idiots/

When do we stop this real life racism? As I said, not until We stand up and collectively say, “ENOUGH!” There is an answer to this evil, it is the answer to all sin, it is the blood and saving grace of Jesus Christ. It is the body demonstrating that amazing gift by loving our neighbors (Mark 12:31, Matthew 22:39) through the acts He has prepared for us (Ephesians 2:10).
