With Rebekah Maxwell

Life Right Now w/Rebekah Maxwell is a radio program that was conceived in early 2013 by Tim Overlin, the founder of The Tworldz Foundation, and first aired on 99.3 FM KTIA, The Truth on April 20th, 2013. Praise 940 AM was added in July of the same year to expand the coverage across about half of the state of Iowa.

Tim wanted to honor his father who, after a long battle with cancer, had recently gone home to be with the Lord. Tim was also passionate about the lives of the unborn, so he organized The Tworldz Foundation to start amplifying voices for life, and refreshing the perspective of the life movement. With lots of prayers and support, Tim brought Rebekah Maxwell on board as the voice of a new generation, ready to tackle the most important issue of all…life.

Rebekah has been a radio producer and personality since she was sixteen years old. She has a degree in Broadcasting from Drake University, and currently produces the nationally-syndicated Steve Deace Show, as well as hosting Life Right Now across Iowa. She is passionate about breaking through stereotypes and slogans to get practical about being pro-life.

The show approaches this issue from a “Personhood” perspective; every human being is created in the image and likeness of God, and is endowed by their Creator with the unalienable right to life. Therefore, all innocent life, from the moment of conception until natural death should be honored and protected, without exception and without compromise. We are commanded to “Love our neighbor…” and feel that The Church, private ministries, and individuals banding together are best equipped to fulfill that charge.

Life Right Now exists to bring organizations and people together to save lives. Their vision is to eliminate the “need” for abortion by partnering with churches and other organizations such as Ruth Harbor (a maternity home for young, expectant women) to organize programs that educate people on options and to provide tools.

On April 19th, 2014 the show celebrated its first birthday by recognizing the next generation (or two) of warriors in the battle for life. The four winners in a nearly 6 week long essay contest, Life Right Now’s First Annual Personhood Essay Contest, were announce and will be receiving their share of $1,000 in prize money very soon. Once Upon A Child in Clive and Informed Choice of Iowa sponsored the event.
